The good: Room was clean and tidy and a nice size. The staff were friendly and check in was quick and simple. It's just a few minutes walk from the town centre. The less good: Parking is a bit tight and there are not that many spaces. The bed was small... Like a small double size The pillows were quite hard Overall the hotel represents good value for money and we'd certainly think about staying again.
We have stayed at this copthorne city hotel in Plymouth on numerous occasions and found the hotel to a high standard of cleanliness and the staff are always very polite and helpful. Food good and the location is perfect for a stop in Plymouth. A bonus is being able have secure parking. As both myself and husband are disabled and although there is some stairs from the parking, the staff always check that we can manage and will we need assistance. Would fully reccomend this lovely hotel
The Copthorne Hotel Plymouth is in a perfect location for visiting the city, the standard and value for money of the rooms are excellent. Finally and very importantly all the staff are very friendly, polite and extremely helpful. Oh and one other thing there isn’t a better breakfast in Plymouth !
I could talk all day about the negatives, niggly petty little things, dust in dining room, tired decor, tiles damaged in bathroom and dated furniture and mould under the soapdish. Overall we loved it, staff were friendly and helpful, food was excellent a good selection at breakfast hot, cold and continental. Cheese board we ordered at the bar was just perfect for the two of us. The domestic who came to do our top-up (tea, coffee and sugar all we needed) was lovely and friendly. The room was clean, white bedding and towels hide nothing and ours were spotless. The room was warm, comfortably so with a ceiling fan should the need arise. Will definitely be returning it was a lovely long weekend break.
The hotel is in a good central location with plenty of parking both on site and next door. The staff were all fantastic, very helpful and accommodating. T|he rooms and common spaces are clean, well maintained and decorated. The evening meal was also very good. I really enjoyed my stay.
absolutely amazing! very confused as to why people are complaining about the ‘style’ of a room. i think people should be thankful they get the chance to stay at such a lovely hotel! many people don’t get the chance to have a roof over there head, yet there are people complaining about the rooms being ‘dated’? in my opinion this hotel was absolutely lovely and super close to everything! there is a sainsbury’s 30 second walk away from the hotel which leads down to a shopping centre which also leads down into the city centre! very easy access to everything. would definitely stay here again!
The room was set up perfectly, there was a nice cooler for the drinks, iron board, iron, hangers, everything was perfect. Specially the one who did our room, JoJo did a fantastic job. The service was brilliant and everything was accompanied to our needs. Finally, the location was awesome, walkable distance to the shops, attractions, city centre, train station and most importantly the pubs. Would go again.
Lovely staff nice rooms good location, breakfast is very very good,the room was a good size and spotless town centre is a couple of minutes walk as is the train station and there are plenty of places to eat if you don't fancy the on site restaurant,will definitely stay again when I return to Plymouth
